Having proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, where Carlos Urbina did two combat deployments to Afghanistan ( 2009 - 2010 , 2011 - 2012 ). On Carlos second deployment to Afghanistan, he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps achievement for saving one of his fellow Afghan Border Policeman’s life in which his interpreter fainted and Carlos was no longer able to communicate with his counter parts while properly executing a emergency medical evacuation. After his time in the Navy, he moved onto to school where he stumbled across the chance to become a Wildland Firefighter.

Wildland firefighting was an amazing experience that let Carlos view the great state of California from a different prospective, a raw and beautiful prospective , while also letting him use his past trauma medical experience on the front lines of Wildland Fires. His road with wildland fires eventually brought him down the road to mortgages. Carlos’s curiosity into home mortgages lead into a passion for mortgages which lead him into the professional mortgage loan origination industry.
